Patient Procedure for visiting The Netley Wellness Clinic (June 2020 onwards)
Guidelines and requirements for patients visiting The Netley Wellness Clinic during the coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.
These procedures are designed to keep you and your Osteopath/Practitioner safe and prevent cross contamination/infection between patients.
Please may we remind you that if you or any of the people you live with, feel unwell or are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning within the Clinic. In between each patient, your Osteopath/Practitioner will wipe clean the couch, surfaces, door handles etc with disinfectant products.
The W.C facilities will be unavailable for use, except in an emergency.
Appointments
Pre screening information:
On making an appointment in order to keep the clinicians and patients safe – you will be asked about any Covid-19 symptoms that you may have, any symptoms within the last 7 days, or indeed anyone within your household that may have or has had symptoms. You will be asked if you are shielding anyone in your household. This will determine if a face to face appointment is appropriate at this time, or whether a phone consultation is more appropriate.
Your appointment information:
1. Please shower and dress in clean clothes before your appointment; making sure to wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Do not go anywhere else before your appointment i.e come straight to the clinic from your home.
3. Please travel to Clinic by private car, bike or walk, if possible.
4. If possible, please come on your own to the appointment and minimise any baggage that you might bring
5. In order to maintain the social distancing rules set out by the UK government, please attend your appointment as close to the appointment time as possible, so that you do not come into contact with other patients entering or leaving the clinic.
6. Your Osteopath/Clinician will run through the Pre screening questions with you once again to ensure no changes have occurred since booking your appointment.
7. We have taken every step to make the clinic as clean as possible and hence things may look a little different from your last appointment. On your arrival, your Osteopath/Clinician will be wearing PPE (face mask, visor, apron, gloves) – so please don’t be surprised! You may also be given a mask on arrival to help minimise any aerosol in the clinic.
8. Please wash hands on arrival or use the sanitiser available.
9. All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment rooms between each patient. We endeavour to use environmentally friendly disposable items where possible.
10. After your treatment, you will be advised by your Osteopath/Clinician whether a Follow-Up appointment is necessary. Follow up appointments may be made by telephone – 07954 950855.
11. Your Osteopath/Clinician will escort you out of the Clinic, via the hand sanitiser, which you are welcome to use. Please remember to follow social distancing guidelines as you leave.
12. Any payments for treatments, should be made over the phone prior to your treatment. Cash or cheques (prewritten) will be placed straight into a provided envelope.
All of these guidelines and procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our Osteopaths / Clinicians, please adhere to them as much as possible and always follow the social distancing guidelines.
Considerations:
Although we have strict hygiene measures in place and practitioners in high levels of PPE there is still a small risk of virus transmission due to the close nature of our work and the amount of time we are together.
Name and contact information may need to be shared with the state health department in the event that a client or practitioner at this clinic tests positive for Covid-19. Contact details will only be shared in the event they are relevant, based on suspected exposure date and only for appropriate follow up by the health department.
Please be reassured that our clinic will be sanitised to the highest levels and that we are taking every step to keep both clinicians and patients as safe as we can during this uncertain time.
